According to a research report from Jeff Pu of GF Securities, Apple is planning to release new entry-level models for its iPhone, iPad, and Mac lines in the first half of 2026. The report suggests the launch of an iPhone 17e, a 12th-generation iPad, and a new, more affordable MacBook that may feature an A-series chip originally designed for iPhones, potentially the A18 Pro. The new low-cost MacBook is anticipated to be priced between $699 and $899, achieving this price point through potential compromises such as using an older design or having limited ports. For the iPhone 17e, the analyst expects an updated A19 chip and a new 18-megapixel front-facing camera, while the new entry-level iPad is expected to get an A18 chip, enabling Apple Intelligence features on the device for the first time. This move is seen as a strategic push to capture more of the budget-conscious consumer market.
