Airbus secured an order from China Eastern Airlines for 25 A330neo wide-body jets. The agreement carries a total list price of approximately $9.35 billion.
The parties signed the contract in Shanghai. This deal strengthens the European planemaker's position in the Chinese aviation market.
Deliveries are scheduled to occur in batches between 2029 and 2033.
China Eastern will use the aircraft to expand its international route network from its Shanghai Pudong hub. The purchase also supports fleet modernization and capacity growth.
Large aircraft orders typically involve substantial discounts from catalogue prices.
