Airbus Defence and Space signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ukrainian firm SkyFall at the ILA Berlin Air Show. German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius attended the signing ceremony.

The alliance merges Airbus’s large-scale defense systems with SkyFall’s expertise in unmanned aerial systems. SkyFall’s interceptors have reportedly neutralized more than 10,000 Russian drones.

Both companies will develop a multi-layered air shield to counter drone and missile strikes. This collaboration aims to strengthen Ukraine’s defense innovation sector and accelerate the broader European defense ecosystem.

Airbus CEO Michael Schoellhorn stated the partnership bridges traditional defense with rapid innovation. The initiative intends to create a resilient air defense system that operates at the speed of modern warfare.
