Amazon Web Services is developing a $10 billion data center campus in Wharton County, Texas.

The 3,000-acre site, known as Project Eagle, is located approximately 60 miles southwest of Houston.

The facility expects to create at least 150 permanent jobs by mid-2027.

Initial power requirements for the multi-building campus exceed 75 megawatts.

Site preparations have commenced, with the first buildings scheduled to become operational in 2027.

This expansion supports infrastructure growth for cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
