Denza, BYD’s premium brand, launched a new variant of the Z9 GT electric vehicle on Wednesday. The model retails for 329,800 yuan (approximately $48,670). This price represents a 10.8% reduction from the previous tri-motor performance model.
The vehicle retains the 1,140-hp powertrain featuring advanced tri-motor e3 technology. Denza adjusted equipment like brakes and tires to offer a more streamlined package compared to the top-tier version.
This launch responds to customer requests for high-performance handling at a lower price point. The move strategically fills a gap in the Z9 GT lineup amid intense competition in China’s EV market.
