BYD sold 440,293 new energy vehicles in August. This represents a nearly 18% increase year-over-year. The results mark the automaker's fourth consecutive month of annual growth. Sales rose 5% compared to July figures.

Overseas exports surged 134.5% year-over-year. These shipments reached a record 189,466 units. International demand buffered the company against declining sales in China. The domestic market faces intense price competition and weakening demand.

Global expansion continues across Southeast Asia, Europe, and South America. BYD must maintain this pace to reach its full-year sales targets. Shares of BYD closed 1.20% higher in Hong Kong following the announcement.
