BYD’s premium brand Yangwang teased its upcoming flagship luxury sedan. The vehicle features a silhouette and rear-hinged coach doors similar to Rolls-Royce models. This announcement marks BYD’s first entry into the ultra-luxury automotive segment.
Chinese media reports suggest the sedan may be the first BYD vehicle equipped with solid-state batteries. BYD executives previously targeted 2027 for this technology, though an earlier release would position Yangwang as an industry pioneer.
The flagship will also include BYD’s most advanced assisted driving system. It will support megawatt rapid charging.
