NBCUniversal filed a lawsuit against Group Black seeking $35.8 million in unpaid invoices and guaranteed payments. Group Black is a firm dedicated to directing advertising revenue toward Black-owned media.

The legal action alleges a breach of contract regarding an exclusive advertising partnership for the Peacock streaming service. Under the agreement, Group Black held the rights to sell advertising for Black-led programming.

The partnership structure required both companies to share advertising revenue generated from the platform.
