Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 earned an estimated $160 million during its domestic opening weekend. This performance set a new franchise record, surpassing the $120.9 million debut of Toy Story 4 in 2019. The film also registered the largest opening weekend of 2026 to date.
International markets contributed an additional $152 million to the launch. The film achieved a total worldwide debut of $312 million. This figure marks the largest global film opening of the year.
The debut ranks as the second-largest domestic opening for an animated film in history. Only Pixar’s Incredibles 2 from 2018 maintains a higher domestic opening record. The success reinforces the market value of the 31-year-old franchise for Disney.
