Ford Motor Company and Geely established a joint venture to manufacture vehicles at Ford’s Valencia plant in Spain. Ford maintains a 66% majority stake in the new entity. Geely holds the remaining 34% share of the partnership. The venture will produce multi-energy passenger vehicles for the European market.

The collaboration addresses intense cost pressures and tightening emissions regulations in Europe. Pooled production aims to maximize the Valencia plant’s capacity and lower per-vehicle manufacturing costs. Operations will begin in the first half of 2027. The first vehicles will roll off the assembly line in 2028.
