Ford is recalling 179,698 vehicles due to a seat defect that increases injury risks during crashes. The recall affects certain 2024–2026 Ford Bronco SUVs and 2024–2026 Ford Ranger pickup trucks.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports a pivot bolt in the front seat frame may loosen or dislodge. This defect could prevent seats from properly restraining occupants during a collision.
Dealers will inspect front seat components and replace pivot links and bolts at no cost. Ford will mail initial notification letters to affected owners on May 11. A second notice will follow in July once the final remedy becomes available.
