Ford is recalling approximately 388,000 vehicles due to defective second-row seats. The recall affects 2020-2026 Ford Explorer and 2020-2027 Lincoln Aviator SUVs.
A faulty easy-entry release switch can stick and cause seats to unlatch or tip forward while driving. This defect increases the risk of injury during a crash.
This action expands a June 2025 recall after the initial fix proved ineffective. Ford has identified 14 reports of unintended seat movement. No crashes or injuries have been reported.
Owners will receive notification letters in late July 2026. Dealers will replace the faulty switch bezel with a redesigned part starting in January 2027.
