Ford is recalling 565,691 Bronco and Bronco Raptor vehicles in the United States. The recall affects model years 2021 through 2026.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that engine wiring harnesses can become damaged over time. This damage may cause a short circuit, generating sparks or heat that increase the risk of an engine compartment fire.
Ford dealers will install protective sheathing over the vulnerable wiring at no cost to owners. The company expects to notify affected vehicle owners starting August 24, 2026.
