Ford Motor Company has initiated two separate recalls in the United States affecting over 616,000 vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the safety actions.

The largest recall covers nearly 605,000 vehicles. A potential failure in the windshield wiper motor may impair visibility and heighten accident risks.

A second recall impacts approximately 11,431 vehicles. A faulty driveshaft friction weld could lead to driveshaft separation. This defect causes a sudden loss of motive power and increases the risk of a crash.

Details regarding the specific models affected by these recalls were not immediately available.
