Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 83,000 vehicles in the United States due to two separate safety defects. The action affects 2025 and 2026 models of the Explorer, Mustang, Bronco, and Ranger.

Nearly 48,000 vehicles contain a faulty exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve. This defect can result in a sudden loss of drive power.

An additional 35,000 vehicles require a software update for dynamic bending headlights. The current software may cause headlights to move incorrectly, creating glare for other motorists and reducing visibility for the driver.

Ford will perform all necessary repairs free of charge. Owners can receive the headlight software fix through over-the-air updates or at local dealerships.
