Ford Motor Co. reached a tentative three-year labor agreement with Unifor on July 12, 2026. The deal covers more than 5,000 Canadian employees.
Negotiations for the contract began on June 22. This agreement prevents a potential strike before the current contracts expire on September 20.
The deal ensures production continuity at the Oakville Assembly Complex and Windsor engine plants. It also covers parts distribution centers in Ontario and Alberta.
Specific details regarding improved wages and job security remain confidential until the ratification vote. Union members will vote on the proposal from July 17 to July 19.
This agreement establishes the bargaining pattern for upcoming negotiations with General Motors and Stellantis.
