Ford Motor Company set a new industry record in 2025 for safety recalls. The automaker issued 152 recall alerts, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This total significantly surpassed the second-highest automaker, Honda, which recorded 53 alerts.

The high volume of recalls highlights ongoing quality control challenges across a wide range of Ford vehicle models. Throughout the year, these alerts affected millions of vehicles. The issues point to systemic problems that the company is actively working to address.

Ford stated that the high number reflects an intensive strategy. This approach aims to quickly identify and rectify both hardware and software problems.
