GE Aerospace signed a contract with the Indian Air Force to establish a domestic engine depot. The facility will support F404-IN20 engines used in the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft fleet.
The Indian Air Force will own, operate, and maintain the new site. GE Aerospace will provide technical support, specialized training, and necessary equipment parts.
The depot aims to accelerate repair turnaround times by reducing reliance on overseas centers. This initiative strengthens India's national defense capabilities.
