Crux AI, the $5 billion joint venture between Alphabet’s Google and Blackstone, appointed Alan Duong as Chief Development Officer. Duong joins from Meta, where he served for over 12 years, most recently as vice president and head of data center engineering and construction.

At Meta, Duong redesigned data center infrastructure to support large-scale AI workloads. In his new role, he will oversee the delivery of multiple gigawatts of data center capacity tailored for Google’s Tensor Processing Units (TPUs).

The appointment signals Crux AI’s strategy to leverage seasoned hyperscale talent to compete in the expanding AI infrastructure market.
