Isomorphic Labs, an artificial intelligence-focused drug discovery company spun out of Alphabet’s DeepMind, is in early-stage discussions to raise new capital at a valuation of at least $40 billion, according to reports. The deal’s final terms remain unsettled and could change.
Launched in November 2021, Isomorphic Labs aims to reimagine drug discovery with an “AI-first” approach. It uses technology from sister company DeepMind, including AlphaFold, the protein-folding model, to accelerate the design of medicines for some of humanity’s most severe diseases.
The potential fundraising follows a $2.1 billion Series B in May 2026. It reflects investor confidence in the use of AI across the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
