Meta has introduced Muse Wonder, a new AI model that CEO Mark Zuckerberg says has reached the “frontier” of artificial intelligence. The announcement follows a massive investment to overhaul Meta’s AI division and strengthen its competition with OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. Muse Wonder is designed to power the company’s personal AI agent, Muse, and help it handle more sophisticated personal and professional tasks.

Meta says Muse Wonder outperforms comparable competitor models on some technical benchmarks. The release marks a milestone for the company, whose stock price has risen since the initial launch of the Muse personal assistant app.

The app, which will integrate the new model, has become the most downloaded app in the US on both Apple and Android stores, signaling strong consumer interest in AI agents.
