Nvidia’s upcoming Vera Rubin AI platform may significantly outperform previous company disclosures.
Analysis by SemiAnalysis shows the Rubin NVL72 system achieves seven times better token throughput per megawatt than the current Blackwell platform. These tests utilized a 1.6 trillion parameter DeepSeek model to measure energy efficiency.
The results exceed the 3x performance gain previously projected by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. SemiAnalysis estimates the Rubin platform could generate over twice the profit per gigawatt for data center operators compared to Blackwell.
