NVIDIA donated a DGX GB300 AI supercomputer to a nonprofit supporting the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California. This installation marks the first Grace Blackwell-powered system within the U.S. military. It currently ranks as the most powerful supercomputer in the Pentagon’s inventory.
The system integrates 72 Blackwell Ultra GPUs and 36 Grace CPUs. Researchers and students will utilize the platform for advanced defense research, simulations, and operational problem-solving.
The donation highlights the increasing integration of sophisticated AI into national defense. This move solidifies NVIDIA’s position as a critical supplier for government applications and may drive broader public sector demand for its newest computing platforms.
