Elon Musk’s SpaceXAI (formerly xAI) plans to build at least one large-scale data center in Texas. The facility will expand the company’s computing capacity beyond its current primary hub in Memphis, Tennessee.
SpaceXAI is currently evaluating several potential locations across Texas for the project. The new site is expected to match or exceed the scale of the Memphis operations.
The expansion will boost in-house computing power to compete with rivals such as OpenAI and Google. This move follows a broader industry trend of massive investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure.
