Sanofi discontinued clinical development of amlitelimab for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis on Friday. The company will not seek global regulatory approval for the indication. This decision followed a strategic review of its development portfolio.

Long-term studies had shown a sustained clinical response. However, Sanofi determined the overall efficacy and safety data did not demonstrate a meaningful improvement over the current standard of care. Sanofi confirmed the decision will not impact its full-year 2026 financial guidance. The company continues a Phase 2 study of amlitelimab for celiac disease.
