Shell PLC suspended its $3 billion share buyback program on Friday, June 12, 2026. The temporary pause will remain in effect until the market closes on July 14, 2026.

Securities law requirements triggered the halt during Shell’s pending acquisition of Canadian firm ARC Resources. ARC Resources shareholders are scheduled to vote on the multi-billion dollar transaction on July 14.

Shell will roll over any uncompleted portions of the buyback into its remaining 2026 programs. This redistribution remains subject to board approval. Shell shares declined in London trading following the announcement.
