Sun Life, Lightworks, Scotiabank, and TELUS launched an AI Consortium on July 7, 2026. The initiative jointly builds and governs the infrastructure required to implement artificial intelligence safely within regulated industries. Members pool engineering resources and research to develop mission-critical AI control systems.
The consortium’s first project, the Agentic Control Plane (ACP), is already in production. This system processes over two trillion tokens monthly across the member organizations. The ACP provides enterprises with the visibility and control necessary to manage Agentic AI while supporting regulatory compliance.
Future developments may include an AI Operations Center and an AI Token Exchange.
