Sun Life Financial Inc. completed its US$350 million acquisition of Bell Partners, a prominent U.S. multifamily real estate investment firm. Sun Life funded approximately 80% of the transaction using common shares.
The deal strengthens Sun Life’s position in the resilient U.S. residential real estate market. Bell Partners will integrate into BGO, Sun Life’s global real estate division.
The firm will oversee the combined entity’s U.S. multifamily assets. Bell Partners will maintain its current leadership, brand, and operational autonomy to ensure continuity for its investment vehicles.
