Spotify is raising the prices for its premium subscription plans in the United States, Estonia, and Latvia, with the changes taking effect on billing dates starting in February. The cost for the popular individual ad-free plan will increase by $1 to $12.99 per month.

Other tiers will also see price increases. The Duo plan will rise by $2 to $18.99, the Family plan will increase by $2 to $21.99, and the Student plan will go up by $1 to $6.99 per month. Spotify stated the price adjustments reflect the value it provides and enable continued investment in the user experience and artist support. The company will notify subscribers via email about the changes. Following the announcement, Spotify's shares saw an increase in pre-market trading.
