Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Sales Jump 40%, Led by EVs and CNG

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. sold 201,723 passenger vehicles in Q2 FY27, the quarter ended September 2026, setting a quarterly sales record. Sales rose 40% from 144,397 units in the same quarter a year earlier.

September sales increased 15% year over year to 70,210 units. The result capped the record quarter as the company headed into the festive season.

EV sales totaled 47,150 units, up 90% from a year earlier. EV and CNG models together accounted for 51% of quarterly sales. EV penetration in Tata’s portfolio rose to 23%.
