Tesla has initiated a recall for 6,197 of its 2024 Cybertrucks equipped with a specific off-road light bar accessory. The recall addresses concerns that the light bar could detach from the vehicle, potentially creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a collision. This marks the tenth recall for the Cybertruck model since its launch. According to a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Tesla stated it is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to this issue. The company plans to remedy the problem by installing an additional mechanical attachment or replacing the light bar entirely. Owners of the affected vehicles are expected to receive notification letters starting December 26. In response to the news, Tesla's shares experienced a decline, falling by as much as 3.5% during trading on October 30th. The repeated recalls for the Cybertruck have drawn attention, especially for a vehicle that CEO Elon Musk has positioned as exceptionally tough and durable.
