Tesla's UK car registrations, a proxy for sales, fell by 19% in November 2025 compared to the same month last year, according to preliminary data from research group New AutoMotive. The number of registrations dropped to 3,784 from 4,680, signaling persistent challenges for the electric vehicle maker in a key market. This decline is consistent with significant sales slumps recently reported in other major European markets, including a 20% fall in Germany and a nearly 60% drop in France. The report suggests Tesla is facing pressures from an aging product lineup and intensifying competition from rivals like China's BYD, whose UK registrations saw a substantial jump in the same period.
