Tesla launched its robotaxi service in Miami, marking its first expansion into Florida. The company announced the rollout via its official account on X. This launch establishes Florida as Tesla's third state of operation.

The service operates within a geofenced area in western and central Miami. Available routes include Miami International Airport. The service currently excludes downtown and Miami Beach.

Tesla now competes directly with Alphabet’s Waymo and Amazon’s Zoox in the region. CEO Elon Musk is using the expansion to pivot Tesla toward artificial intelligence and robotics. This strategy follows previous service rollouts in Austin, Dallas, and Houston.
