Visa confirmed it remains on schedule to deliver secure, personalized AI-enabled commerce by early 2026. The payments giant anticipates millions of shoppers will use AI agents to complete purchases by the 2026 holiday season.
To support this shift toward 'agentic shopping,' Visa launched "Visa Intelligent Commerce." This suite of tools enables secure transactions initiated by AI agents.
Research shows nearly half of U.S. shoppers already use AI tools for product discovery and price comparisons. Visa is building this ecosystem by working with over 100 partners.
Pilot programs for the technology are currently underway in the United States. Visa plans to expand these pilots to Europe and Asia Pacific in early 2026, positioning the company at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence and digital commerce.
