Visa has announced the formation of a new administrative region encompassing Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman to accelerate the growth of digital payments. This move is part of the company's broader strategy for the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA) region, aiming to enhance client proximity and support digital transformation goals.
As part of the initiative, Visa has appointed Ali Bailoun as the new Group Country Manager to lead the region from Riyadh. This organizational change builds on Visa's 40-year presence in the area and recent investments, including a new office and Innovation Center in Riyadh, positioning the company to better serve its partners and advance cashless economies in these markets.
