Visa is expanding its stablecoin settlement capabilities through a deepened partnership with financial infrastructure platform Stripe. This collaboration extends Visa's stablecoin-backed card program to more than 100 countries. The initiative enables the issuance of cards and allows for everyday spending in stablecoins.

This expansion is part of Visa's strategy to integrate digital assets with its traditional payment network. The company is also piloting on-chain settlement using blockchain technology to broaden its transaction options. These moves signal Visa's active adoption of blockchain-based payments as digital assets become more intertwined with mainstream finance.

Separately, Visa launched 'Intelligent Authorization' on the Visa Acceptance Platform. This feature uses a single API to help financial institutions modernize legacy systems, aiming to reduce false declines and lower operational costs. Visa also expanded its Visa Direct capabilities through a new collaboration with global payments provider Citcon.
