NVIDIA and Corning formed a long-term partnership to expand U.S. manufacturing of optical connectivity for AI infrastructure. Corning will build three new manufacturing facilities in North Carolina and Texas. This expansion aims to increase U.S. optical connectivity capacity by ten times. The project will also boost fiber production by more than 50%.

The collaboration responds to massive infrastructure demands driven by rapid AI growth. Modern AI factories require high-performance optical fiber to connect thousands of GPUs. These solutions enable high-speed data movement at scale. The initiative expects to create over 3,000 new jobs in the U.S.

NVIDIA aims to strengthen the U.S. AI supply chain through this agreement. CEO Jensen Huang stated that AI is driving the largest infrastructure buildout of our time. The partnership secures a domestic supply of components for NVIDIA accelerated computing platforms. These components are essential for large-scale data centers.
