NVIDIA and Corning signed a multi-year partnership to scale U.S. manufacturing of advanced optical connectivity solutions for AI data centers.
Corning will expand its U.S. optical connectivity manufacturing capacity by 10x. The company will also increase its fiber production by over 50%.
The expansion includes the construction of three new advanced manufacturing facilities. This initiative is expected to create over 3,000 jobs.
NVIDIA is supporting the project with a $500 million equity-linked investment through the purchase of Corning warrants. CEO Jensen Huang stated that AI is driving the largest infrastructure buildout of our time.
