NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced at the GTC conference that the company is restarting manufacturing of H200 artificial intelligence accelerators for China. This move signals a major effort to re-enter a market previously restricted by U.S. export controls.
Huang confirmed that NVIDIA received licenses for numerous Chinese customers. The company is now activating its supply chain to meet this demand.
The H200 is a modified version of top-tier chips designed to comply with U.S. regulations. It offers substantial AI processing capabilities while meeting specific export requirements.
Huang forecasted that global AI chip demand could reach $1 trillion in sales through next year. NVIDIA has not yet included China data center revenue in its official financial guidance.
