NVIDIA is restarting manufacturing of its H200 artificial intelligence accelerators for customers in China. CEO Jensen Huang confirmed the production restart during the GTC 2026 conference.

The U.S. government granted licenses for NVIDIA to sell these modified chips to specific preapproved customers. This development bypasses previous export restrictions that had largely blocked the company from the Chinese market.

Huang stated the company's supply chain is now activating to meet this renewed demand. Re-entering China provides a vital revenue stream as domestic Chinese firms develop their own AI accelerator alternatives.
