Nvidia is restarting production of its H200 artificial intelligence chips for the Chinese market. CEO Jensen Huang announced the development at the GTC 2026 conference.
The company secured necessary export licenses from both U.S. and Chinese regulators. Nvidia has already received purchase orders from numerous Chinese customers and is currently reactivating its supply chain.
These approvals end a period of regulatory uncertainty that previously forced a production halt. The move restores access to a critical revenue stream for Nvidia’s data center and AI business units.
