OpenAI is reportedly forming a $10 billion joint venture named DeployCo, according to the Financial Times. The entity will implement AI systems directly within large corporations.

OpenAI will provide an initial $500 million in funding. This capital contribution may eventually increase to $1.5 billion. OpenAI will retain strategic control via super-voting shares.

Partners TPG, Bain Capital, and Advent International will invest $4 billion into the venture. These private equity firms will deploy the capital over a five-year period.

DeployCo will embed engineers in client offices to automate workflows and restructure operations. The model mirrors Palantir by prioritizing implementation value over software licensing. Parties expect to finalize the deal in early May 2026.
