SAP announced its pivot to a business AI company at the Sapphire 2026 conference. The initiative introduces an autonomous enterprise vision to automate finance, supply chain, and HR processes.
The strategy centers on 50 domain-specific Joule AI assistants. These assistants orchestrate more than 200 specialized AI agents. A new Business AI Platform unifies these data and AI capabilities.
SAP expanded partnerships with Google Cloud, Anthropic, and Nvidia to support the vision. Google Cloud will deepen integration for AI agent collaboration and data sharing. Anthropic’s Claude models will power Joule agents. Nvidia will collaborate on open agent protocols to ensure safe enterprise AI operations.
Customers of RISE and GROW cloud offerings will gain access to the new tools. This shift moves SAP beyond simple AI assistance toward full automation of complex corporate tasks.
