SAP announced its pivot to a business AI company at the Sapphire 2026 conference. The company unveiled its Autonomous Enterprise vision to automate end-to-end processes in finance, supply chain, and HR.
The initiative deploys over 50 domain-specific AI assistants named Joule. These assistants orchestrate more than 200 specialized AI agents to automate corporate tasks.
A new Business AI Platform unifies data and AI capabilities to support the rollout. SAP expanded its partnership with Google Cloud for deeper AI agent collaboration and data sharing.
The company integrated Anthropic’s Claude models to power Joule agents. SAP is also collaborating with Nvidia on open agent protocols to ensure AI acts safely within enterprise environments.
Customers of RISE and GROW cloud offerings will gain access to the new AI assistants and agents. This development signals a shift from simple AI assistance to the full automation of complex business operations.
