TSMC raised its 2030 global semiconductor market forecast to $1.5 trillion. The updated projection represents a 50% increase from the company's previous $1 trillion estimate.

AI and high-performance computing will drive 55% of the total market by the end of the decade. TSMC disclosed the revised outlook during its technology symposium on Thursday.

The company plans to build nine new wafer fabrication and advanced packaging facilities in 2026. This expansion strategy aims to meet the accelerating demand for high-performance chips.
