Chinese battery giant CATL unveiled its TENER Sodium Energy Storage System in Munich, Germany. The company describes the product as the world's first field-validated, commercially mature sodium-ion battery solution.
CATL confirmed the technology is ready for mass production. Cumulative shipments are expected to reach 1 GWh by the end of 2026. International deliveries will begin in June 2027.
