ExxonMobil, BP, and Vitol are shipping record volumes of oil products from the United States to Australia this March. These shipments represent the largest fuel transfer between the two nations in more than three decades.

At least 200,000 metric tons of gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel are currently in transit from the U.S. Gulf and West Coasts. This surge aims to offset supply shortages caused by Middle East conflicts involving Iran and subsequent export bans from Asian refineries.

ExxonMobil Australia confirmed it is coordinating with the federal government to stabilize domestic fuel supplies. The company stated its teams are working continuously to support customers during the ongoing regional disruptions.
