XPeng has officially started mass production of its first Robotaxi in Guangzhou. The vehicle utilizes entirely in-house developed technologies and the XPENG GX platform.
Engineers designed the Robotaxi to meet L4 autonomous driving standards. Pilot operations for the service are scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026.
XPeng targets fully autonomous operations without in-car safety officers by early 2027. This initiative aims to validate the technology and business model for large-scale commercialization.
