XPeng will officially launch its new flagship GX SUV on May 20, 2026. The GX represents the company's most expensive model to date and marks its formal entry into the premium market. Pre-sales for the vehicle began on April 15 with a starting price of 399,800 yuan ($58,820).
The SUV competes directly with high-end models including the Nio ES8 and Li L9. XPeng expects this luxury segment expansion to improve overall profitability through higher gross margins.
The GX utilizes the company's new SEPA 3.0 architecture. Engineers designed the vehicle to meet L4 autonomous driving standards.
