BYD Stock Jumps 5%, Driven by 7,000-Vehicle Shipment to Germany

BYD shares rose over 5% on April 16 following a positive international sales outlook. The 'Jinan' car carrier is scheduled to arrive in Germany on April 19. This shipment delivers more than 7,000 vehicles to the European market.

The company recently launched its premium Denza brand in Europe. New-energy vehicle exports exceeded 120,000 units in March, marking a significant year-over-year increase. Total overseas sales reached 320,000 units in the first quarter of 2026.

German registrations increased 327.1% year-over-year in March 2026. BYD targets 50,000 total vehicle sales in Germany for 2026.
